Lu Fasiaitu

Lu Fasiaitu was a warrior from the region called Fagaloa, who challenged the Gods in battle and secured the royal lineage to the God Tagaloa, for his bravery and skill in battle. He actually defeated Tagaloa's, the God of the Universe, armies, which he pursued relentlessly through the 9 heavens, until he confronted Tagaloa's army in the 9th heaven and defeated them. The God in return gave Lu his daughter to be his wife. This appeased Lu and he returned to Fagaloa with the daughter of Tagaloa. What was the cause of this war? Chickens. Yes, Tagaloa's people stole Lu's chickens. This may seem rather frivolous until we read current anthropoligical studies that the say the chickens found America DNA originated from chickens in the South Pacific. This is why this legend as told by Pacific Winds Productions spans the region of the Pacific to the Americas. This is an Epic tale. We intend to produce an animated version as well as a live action movie or a series.

Pili the Conqueror

Pili was the warrior who killed the sea serpent that had been attacking voyagers in the channel between Upolu and Savaii, Samoa's two main islands. He went into the ocean and was swallowed by the sea serpent, then he cut from the inside and killed it. Later he was sent for from Hawaii and his descendants are the Kamehameha line.

Sina and the Eel

Sina and the eel, is a very old legend that tells the story of how the coconut, which is called the tree of life in the islands, originated. This story is a love story as it tells of the emotional relationship between a young Samoan maiden and her pet eel. This story will be presented in both animated form and live acting.

Nafanua. the first ruler of Samoa

Nafanua, a female warrior, led her army through the Samoan islands and unified Samoa under her rule. She was the first to unify Samoa under one banner.

Lauaki le Toa

Laauaki Namulauulu Mamoe has been celebrated as a toa, or warrior, in the anals of Samoan orators. He lived in the late 1800s and early 1900s while European powers were expanding their power and influence into the Pacific region. Lauaki began a movement of resistence against the German colonists, which he as a high talking chief from the big island of Savaii believed Samoa was not for Europeans, but for Samoans. Thus he coined the phrase which was used during the resistence movement or Mau a Pule, Samoa Mo Samoa. His ability to mobilize the people and start this non-violent movement was perhaps the first use of non-violent resistence in the modern era. He was before Ghandi and Martin Luther King. His movement resulted eventually in Samoa gaining it's independence in 1962. His story is one of tremndous will power and determination to stand up aginst the world power of Germany at the time and as a statesman express the will of the Samoan people eloquently and with effectiveness, so much so that the Germans eventuall exiled him and the Mau a Pule chiefs to Saipan. This story must be revisited and put on film as it was during a period of great world conflict, including the First World War. This story will be told on film and will be be motivation for our young people to be strong and undeterred by overwhelming odds. Where there is a will there is a way. This will be a docu-drama series.
